Leak testing, sometimes called integrity testing, is essential to ensure the shelf life on many products. Packages are generally designed to protect their contents from moisture, oxygen, or bacteria. Others such as coffee need to keep the fragrance inside. In particular Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP), and aseptic packaging create a special environment which enhances the shelf life of the product. It is essential to check that the seals are properly made, in order to be sure teat the claimed shelf life will be met.
Sealtick - Rapid & Objective Testing
The Sealtick systems allow a rapid and objective test, which checks the seal quality while not damaging the package or contents. It is much faster than competitive techniques, and removes the uncertainty due to operator interpretation, damage due to destructive testing, and the need to control water baths for immersion testing.
The simplicity of operation, and rugged stainless steel case make the TSE 4084, 6085 and 6086 ideal for use in a production environment.
The Sealtick systems allow a rapid and objective package test. The seal quality is tested without damaging the package or its contents. The TSE 6086 uses a vacuum method to measure the gas leaking for a wide range of flexible pack types and sizes.
The TSE 2032 uses the traditional underwater test in combination with a controlled vacuum, causing the pack to inflate. Bubbles from leakage are detected visually.
